Visiting a forum site after a week is so refreshing for me. Let me share to you the most interesting thread that I've read when it comes to SEO:
johnston981 asks:
I wonder if Panda Update will effect article submission in any way. Lets say I have submitted an article in 50 different directories what could be negative effect of this? What else can we do for effective article submission.
Here are the best answers that I got:
From: billaa
-For effective article submission, you have to submit unique articles in popular directories. Never try to spin the articles and don't submit a single article in all directories, It's not going to give you positive results now.
From johnwho
-Submitting the same article in 50+ low PR or trusted site is a big no no. I suggest that if you spin the articles you need to limit the submission per article. 10-15 per spun article is ok..
From: snapshot
-The recommended idea is to write newer materials and submitting them only to a few directories, of course the links gained may still not seem very helpful from SEO perspectives because article submission is known to be an effective traffic building method and not a very solid way of improving web links stats of domains but anyway if you write lots of original copies, you will will be able to enjoy the benefits even after the recent update.
The fact is that Google no longer likes accessing hundreds of article directories pages and finding most of them containing exactly the same materials found over the net and on other directories. Writing fresh contents still seems to be one of the best ways of promoting sites and if you seriously are looking for publishing them on other sites, and not on yours which may be a better idea, try writing several decent copies and submit them to a few sites.
